Well, while everyone is talking about their end of summer coming around the corner, I can safely say, I have at least another month and a half to go! I don’t expect things to cool down much until mid October. I love summer though, and I’m usually a touch sad when it comes to an end.

We recently took the commuter train to the beach for the day and it was a blast! The kids had so much fun doing everything from riding the train to playing in the water and walking on the pier. I hope to squeeze one more trip in this month. It was perfect to take the train because it literally lets you off right at the beach. You don’t have to worry about parking, gas prices, etc.

And how cool is this! A local park just installed a “Splash Zone!”. It has tons of little water fountains coming out of the ground and water coming out of fixtures that spray all over. We just went last weekend and the kids had a great time! The best two thing are that it is literally only 5 min away and it’s free

So, you can see, I am not ready for summer to be over yet. With our temps around 100 degrees, it will be awhile before things cool down around here. And I’m just fine with waiting until the time changes for summer to be over.
